Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute in a dynamic K-12 educational environment. This contract position is located in Oakland, CA, and is designed for individuals passionate about supporting students with speech and language needs.

Location: Oakland, CA
Duration: ASAP - June 4, 2025
Schedule: 40 hours per week, onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Speech Language Pathologists to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Support a caseload of approximately 12-16 K-12 students in achieving their speech and language goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and sessions as required.
  • Assist in conducting screenings and assessments under the supervision of licensed professionals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and communication.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license in the state.
  • Previous experience working with K-12 students, particularly in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to implement therapeutic techniques as directed by supervising Speech Language Pathologists.
  • Commitment to professional development and enhancing skills within the field.
