Job Description

An opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to support students in a K-12 educational setting during a leave of absence. This role involves working closely with elementary and middle school students to enhance their communication skills through targeted interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Indiana Speech Language Pathologist License
  • ASHA Certification; Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply
  • Strong understanding of speech and language disorders and their impact on student learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in a school setting, particularly with K-12 students, is preferred

Location: Franklin, IN

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech and language support
  • Conduct assessments and document student progress as directed by supervising Speech Language Pathologists
  • Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to facilitate skill development
  • Collaborate with teachers and other specialists to promote effective communication strategies in the classroom
  • Maintain accurate records of services provided and student outcomes
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
