Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting students across multiple schools. In this role, you'll provide essential speech and language services for K-12 students during the full 2026-2027 school year, with immediate start availability. Collaborate with a dynamic team in a welcoming school environment, helping students develop vital communication skills.
Position Details:
- Contract duration: ASAP through June 2027
- Full-time schedule: Monday through Friday, 3537.5 hours per week
- Two positions available, serving K-12 caseloads across multiple school sites
- In-person candidates only
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license for Connecticut, with CCC certification required
- Experience in school-based settings, especially across a variety of grade levels (K-12)
- Strong assessment, documentation, and intervention skills tailored for educational contexts
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and effectively collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the special education team
- Deliver both group and one-on-one therapy sessions in accordance with student needs
- Maintain timely and accurate records, progress notes, and compliance documentation
- Consult regularly with families, educators, and support staff to promote student progress
- Engage in professional development to stay current with best practices
