Job Description

A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for a contract position in Walhalla, SC. This role focuses on providing essential communication support to students, ensuring their educational needs are met effectively. The position is full-time at 37.5 hours per week, with the possibility of part-time hours, and spans from as soon as possible until the end of the school year and into the 2025-2026 school year.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • 2 years or more of relevant experience, particularly in school settings
  • Familiarity with pediatric speech and language disorders
  • Experience with teletherapy practices is a plus
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Location: Walhalla, SC

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech therapy
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with identified speech and language disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students’ communication goals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and student progress
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development opportunities
