Role Overview:
VocoVision is hiring for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver virtual therapy services to K-12 students throughout Maine. This independent contractor position offers the flexibility to work remotely while making a profound impact on students in both urban and rural communities across the state. Using VocoVision’s cutting-edge teletherapy platform, you’ll provide high-quality, accessible services tailored to each student's unique needs.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct online speech and language evaluations that meet Maine’s education guidelines and standards.
  • Develop individualized therapy plans that align with IEP goals and address specific student needs.
  • Lead engaging and interactive teletherapy sessions via VocoVision’s secure online platform.
  • Collaborate with parents, educators, and school staff to create a supportive environment for student success.
  • Keep accurate documentation of therapy sessions, track student progress, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Participate in virtual IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations tailored to Maine’s regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Current Maine SLP license.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Prior experience in school-based settings or familiarity with Maine’s educational requirements (preferred).
  • Strong technical skills and comfort with teletherapy platforms.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management abilities.
