Job Description

A rewarding opportunity awaits for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in K-12 education. This contract position is designed for those with a passion for enhancing student communication skills and making a positive impact in the school setting.

Location: Lowell, MA Duration: CSY (Contract)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students with speech and language disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to K-12 students, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in school meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Current license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Massachusetts.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience working with K-12 students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
