Job Description

A unique opportunity is available for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists in Tacoma, WA. This role focuses on providing essential support to K-12 students, ensuring that each learner receives the guidance they need to thrive academically and socially. With two positions open—one full-time and one part-time (one day per week)—this is an ideal setting for SLPs looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Washington State SLP license
  • ESA certification
  • Completed fingerprinting through OSPI within the past two years
  • Experience in pediatric speech therapy, particularly in school settings

Location: Tacoma, WA

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat students with communication disorders across various grade levels
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student goals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
  • Provide consultation and training to staff regarding speech and language development

This contract position runs from ASAP until June, with assignments determined based on the candidate’s skills and experience. The average caseload for the full-time position is approximately 55 students.
