Job Description

Engage in a meaningful opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a dynamic K-12 educational environment located in Tacoma, WA. This full-semester contract position involves working directly with a diverse caseload, helping 50-60 children across 2-3 schools to enhance their communication skills through onsite services.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • CCC certification preferred
  • Experience in pediatric speech therapy, particularly in a school setting
  • Proficient in teletherapy practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educational staff and families
  • Knowledge of various speech and language disorders and therapy techniques

Location: Tacoma, WA

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to assigned students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement IEP goals
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation as required
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development
  • Create a supportive and engaging learning environment for all students
