Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled professional specializing in speech-language pathology within an engaging elementary school environment in San Jose, CA. Qualifications:

  • Current California Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
  • Experience in school settings, particularly with K-5 students
  • Strong case management skills, with the ability to handle various disabilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Location:

  • San Jose, California

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for students with speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for a caseload of 30 students, focusing on 13 students requiring case management
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication goals
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy techniques as needed
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment
