Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists to support students in a dynamic educational environment in Ridgefield, WA. With four positions available, this role focuses on fostering communication skills across a diverse K-12 student population.

Location: Ridgefield, WA

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs.
  • Conduct assessments to determine students’ speech and language abilities and needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ overall development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and IEP documentation.
  • Provide direct therapy services to a caseload of approximately 50 students, adapting techniques to meet varied needs.
  • Engage in workload analysis systems to ensure equitable distribution of responsibilities within the department.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current Washington State SLP license and ESA certification.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings.
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and online documentation systems, preferably IEPonline.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with staff and families.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This is a contract position for the upcoming school year, offering 37.5 hours per week in both elementary and secondary school settings. A workload analysis system is in place and reviewed monthly to ensure manageable and equitable workloads within the department.
