Job Description

An opportunity exists for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists to provide vital support in an educational setting. This contract position is located in Phoenix, AZ, and is ideal for professionals looking to make a meaningful impact on students' communication skills from kindergarten through fifth grade.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to a diverse student population.
  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and diagnose students with speech, voice, and language impairments.
  • Interpret assessment results to develop necessary interventions.
  • Validate and incorporate outside evaluations and recommendations into therapy plans.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Create individualized therapy programs tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to facilitate and enhance the implementation of therapy.
  • Provide guidance to teachers in observing and referring students for speech and language services.
  • Maintain accurate and ongoing records for individual student progress.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by administration.

Qualifications:

  • Current Arizona Speech-Language Pathologist License.
  • Valid Arizona Department of Health SLP License.
  • Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • CCC-SLP certification preferred.
  • Experience working in school settings with K-12 students.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills.
