Job Description

In an engaging K-12 school environment located in Oakland, CA, a unique opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist has arisen. This contract position entails working closely with students to support their communication needs, fostering an inclusive and effective learning atmosphere.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license or CTC SLP credential
  • Experience in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
  • Strong understanding of various speech and language disorders
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Location:

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose students speech and language disorders
  • Provide direct therapy to a caseload of 35-40 K-12 students
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student needs
  • Develop and maintain individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor and document student progress and outcomes
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
