Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in an engaging elementary school environment. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about fostering communication skills and addressing the diverse needs of children from pre-K to 6th grade.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Connecticut Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • Previous experience in school settings, particularly with elementary students
  • Expertise in pediatric speech therapy, including teletherapy
  • Familiarity with trauma-sensitive practices and social-emotional learning
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Location:
New Haven, CT

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and provide therapy for students with speech and language disorders
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and parents
  • Implement therapeutic techniques tailored to student needs
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student outcomes
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment
