Job Description

A contract position is available for a skilled professional specializing in speech-language pathology. The role focuses on providing crucial communication support to students in a K-12 setting in New Orleans, LA. Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Louisiana Speech-Language Pathologist License (LA SLP-CCC, CF will be considered)
  • Experience with AAC devices and interventions
  • Strong background in assessments, evaluations, and IEP development
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals

Location:

  • New Orleans, LA

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech therapy services to students
  • Conduct assessments and progress reporting to monitor student development
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings to advocate for student needs
  • Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices as needed

This role spans the academic year, with a schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
