Job Description

Engage in a rewarding opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist or Speech Language Pathology Assistant where your expertise will make a significant impact in the lives of students. This full-school-year contract position is located in Leavenworth, KS, within a supportive K-12 educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with district Speech Language Pathologists to provide targeted speech and language services.
  • Assist in data collection and documentation to support student progress and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement tailored therapy plans for students ranging from ages 3 to 12th grade.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary team discussions regarding student needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student assessments and therapy sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Kansas state license as a Speech Language Pathologist or Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage caseloads efficiently.
  • Knowledge of current best practices in speech and language therapy.
