Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled professional to provide essential speech-language pathology services within a K-12 school setting in Joliet, IL. This contract position spans the entirety of the school year, offering the chance to make a significant impact on students' communication needs.

Location: Joliet, IL Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, full-time, onsite Duration: August 18, 2025 - May 29, 2026

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois State Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Proficiency in conducting assessments and providing therapy for speech and language disorders

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations to assess students' speech and language abilities and develop appropriate intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to implement IEP goals and monitor student progress.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students requiring speech and language support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a collaborative educational environment.
