Job Description

A dynamic educational environment is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide essential support to students from Pre-K to 6th grade. This contract position is based in Houma, LA, and runs from now until the end of May, offering the opportunity to work with a diverse roster of approximately 50 students.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy services to students requiring speech and language support.
  • Collaborate with educational staff in IEP meetings to discuss student progress and needs.
  • Conduct testing and assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current Louisiana Speech-Language Pathologist license.
  • Strong background in pediatric speech therapy, particularly within school settings.
  • Proficient in conducting assessments and developing IEPs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
