Job Description

A dynamic opportunity awaits experienced Speech-Language Pathologists looking to make a meaningful impact in an educational setting. This position is focused on supporting middle school students with mild to moderate speech and language needs, fostering their communication skills and enhancing their overall academic development.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC)
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings
  • Strong understanding of speech and language disorders and relevant intervention strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals

Location:
Detroit, MI

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for approximately 45 students aged 11 to 13 with speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) outlining service delivery and goals
  • Deliver services twice per month, with each session lasting 20 to 30 minutes
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided
