Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated professional to contribute effectively within a middle school environment in Detroit, MI. This full-time position focuses on providing specialized speech-language pathology services through teletherapy, catering to a diverse student population.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience in teletherapy and/or school settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Proficient in using technology for therapy delivery

Location: Detroit, MI

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ speech and language needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students requiring speech therapy
  • Provide direct teletherapy services to a caseload of approximately 60 middle school students
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to support students’ overall development
  • Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
