Job Description

An opportunity exists for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to contribute in a high school setting in Chicago, IL. This position is focused on providing targeted support to students with diverse communication needs within a general education and self-contained special education classroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to facilitate effective interventions.
  • Provide direct therapy to a caseload of 8-12 students, ensuring measurable progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation as required by state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator's License (PEL) for school-based practice.
  • CCC (Certification of Clinical Competence) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
