Job Description

An opportunity exists for dedicated professionals to support students in a K-12 educational setting. This role focuses on addressing the needs of children and adolescents through speech-language pathology, ensuring that each student receives the necessary guidance and resources for their communication development.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Professional Educator's License for Illinois schools through ISBE
  • Strong background in pediatric speech-language pathology
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
  • Familiarity with early childhood and elementary education
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other specialists

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educational staff
  • Conduct screenings and maintain records of student progress
  • Offer support and resources to teachers and parents regarding communication disorders
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student needs and interventions
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment that promotes effective communication for all students
