Job Description

A supportive and dynamic environment awaits an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist in Chicago, IL. This onsite, school-based role involves working closely with early childhood students to address their diverse communication needs within two self-contained classrooms.

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) state license
  • Active Professional Educator License (PEL) Type 73 in speech-language pathology
  • Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings is preferred
  • Strong understanding of expressive and receptive language development, as well as articulation and phonological disorders

Location:

  • Chicago, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments to approximately 30-35 students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs
  • Deliver therapy services in a variety of instructional formats, including large group, small group, and individual sessions
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and outcomes
