Job Description

An opportunity exists for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to take on a float position in an elementary school setting, located in Aurora, CO. This role involves providing essential communication support to a diverse student population, with an average caseload of approximately 40 students. The position allows for a flexible approach to service delivery, considering both on-site and virtual therapy options.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license
  • Experience working with elementary school-aged children
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills
  • Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Previous experience with virtual therapy is a plus

Location:

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student goals
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students’ communication skills
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation as required by CDE
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
