Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois School Psychologist License
  • Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in mild to moderate needs
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Cultural competence and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Location: Mattoon, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychological assessments, evaluations, and diagnoses for approximately 250 K-12 students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and support staff
  • Offer short-term counseling and support services to students and families
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for staff on mental health and wellness
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a positive school environment
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
