Job Description

An opportunity exists for skilled professionals specializing in psychological services within educational settings. This role focuses on providing comprehensive assessments and support to students in a K-12 environment, fostering their educational and emotional development.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Valid state psychologist license or certification
  • Experience conducting evaluations and assessments in schools
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations

Location:
Gurnee, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct 30-35 psychological evaluations per year for students
  • Collaborate with a team of specialists, including special education supervisors, social workers, and speech therapists
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers and staff regarding student needs
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment findings
  • Serve as a liaison between families and the school regarding student progress and support services
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a holistic approach to student care
