Sunbelt Staffing is hiring a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a school-based behavioral health position in Elk River, Minnesota. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with a passion for student mental health and behavioral support services in an educational setting.

Position Overview:

The Behavioral RN will provide care and support to students with behavioral and emotional needs across a K-12 school population. This role involves close collaboration with special education teams, counselors, and mental health professionals to promote student wellness and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs
Monitor health plans and provide intervention for students with behavioral diagnoses
Administer medications and assist with crisis intervention as needed
Participate in IEP meetings and develop care strategies with school teams
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school district and state guidelines
Promote a safe, inclusive school environment

Requirements:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota
Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or school nursing preferred
Strong interpersonal, communication, and de-escalation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
CPR/BLS Certification required
