Job Description

In a supportive educational environment, an opportunity exists for a skilled nursing professional to take on the role of Health Room Nurse. This position is crucial in ensuring the health and well-being of students, providing essential medical care and support within the school setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor student health needs.
  • Conduct student triage and respond to emergency situations with competence and care.
  • Maintain accurate records for immunizations and other health-related documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and staff regarding student health concerns.
  • Provide first aid and health education to promote student wellness.
  • Monitor diabetic students and collaborate with other clinic nurses to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Independently manage the school health clinic while supervising LPNs as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Florida LPN License.
  • Pediatric experience is preferred, though not mandatory.
  • Availability for full-time hours.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
