Job Description

A part-time Physical Therapist is sought for a K-12 educational setting in Bridgeport, CT, to provide vital therapeutic services to students from Pre-K through 12th grade. This role involves working approximately 18 hours per week across 2-3 days, starting as soon as possible and continuing through June.

Qualifications:

  • Current Connecticut Physical Therapy license
  • Relevant experience in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals
  • Knowledge of IEPs and related documentation processes

Location:

  • Bridgeport, CT

Responsibilities:

  • Provide physical therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
  • Implement therapy interventions to improve students’ physical abilities and functional skills
  • Collaborate with educational staff to facilitate the integration of therapy goals in the classroom
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy services and student progress
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development and needs
