Job Description

An opportunity is available for dedicated paraprofessionals looking to make a meaningful impact in an educational setting. This role focuses on supporting students in a 4th-5th grade severe special education classroom, playing a crucial part in their learning and development.

Location: Boston, MA
Hours: 35 hours per week, full-time, 7:45 AM - 2:30 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering instruction and implementing IEP goals.
  • Support the inclusion of students with special needs into mainstream classrooms.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in various environments.
  • Collaborate with educators and other staff to enhance the learning experience.
  • Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a paraprofessional in Massachusetts.
  • Experience working with students with special needs, particularly in a classroom setting.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviors and support diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
