Title: Paraprofessional (Contract)

Full-time

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Paraprofessional to join our school education team for the upcoming school year. As a Paraprofessional, you will provide support and assistance to teachers and students, helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. You will work closely with students who require additional academic, behavioral, or emotional support to ensure their success in the classroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering instruction and implementing lesson plans.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs or learning challenges.
  • Support classroom management and reinforce positive behavior.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Help students develop essential skills and provide emotional support.
  • Assist with classroom organization and preparation of materials.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate with teachers.
  • Ensure student safety and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or completion of a paraprofessional training program is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children/adults with autism needed
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
