Job Description

In a dynamic educational environment catering to K-12 students, there are seven openings for dedicated paraprofessionals. This role is essential in providing support to teachers and facilitating the learning processes of students across various grade levels, from kindergarten through high school. The positions are contract-based, offering 30 hours a week, and are set to commence as soon as possible, continuing through the end of the school year.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with a paraprofessional certification, or
  • 48 college credits or an associate's/bachelors degree.
  • A minimum of one year of experience supporting students with special education needs in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with educators and support student learning.
  • Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.

Location:
Allentown, PA

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in the classroom by supporting instructional activities and managing student behaviors.
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed by certified staff.
  • Collaborate with educators to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and document student progress and participation in classroom activities.
  • Provide support to students during transitions, including arriving and departing from school.
