Job Title: School Occupational Therapist
Location: Wilmington DE area
Job Type: Contract, Part Time

Sunbelt is a healthcare agency specializing in providing school-based therapy services to schools around the country. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality care and making a positive impact in the lives of students. We are currently seeking skilled Occupational Therapists to join our team on a contract basis and support schools.
Job Details:
- Part time (8-10 hours/week)
- Middle and high school caseload
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities
- Collaborate with school staff and Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams to develop individualized treatment plans and goals for students
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, addressing areas such as fine motor skills, sensory integration, visual-motor coordination, and self-care
- Adapt classroom environments, equipment, and materials to promote accessibility and facilitate student participation
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, special education staff, parents, and other professionals involved in the students' care
- Document student progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information according to agency and school guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate goals and accommodations for students
- Stay updated on current research, best practices, and relevant laws and regulations in school-based occupational therapy
Qualifications:
- Active Delaware Occupational Therapy license
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Previous experience as a School Occupational Therapist is preferred, but new graduates with relevant fieldwork experience are encouraged to apply
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and IEP team members
