Job Description

Located in New Haven, CT, this position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to work in an elementary school setting. Serving students from pre-K through 6th grade, the role focuses on providing essential therapeutic services that support the diverse needs of 11 students.

Qualifications:

  • Current Connecticut Occupational Therapy License
  • Preferred experience in school-based therapy
  • Background in healthcare and teletherapy is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of social-emotional learning and trauma-sensitive practices
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills

Location:

  • New Haven, CT

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students, tailored to their individual needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to develop and implement IEPs
  • Assess student progress and adjust treatment plans as required
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student outcomes
  • Support a positive and inclusive learning environment through therapeutic practices

This role is contracted for the school year, with a schedule of 20 hours per week, from 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM, and will continue until June 17, 2025.
