An exciting opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in pediatric care. This position is set in a supportive educational environment in Homestead, FL, where you will work with K-12 students experiencing mild to moderate developmental delays, including high-functioning autism.

Qualifications:

• Valid Florida Occupational Therapy license
• Medicaid provider number
• Experience working with children, particularly in a school setting
• Strong background in assessments, evaluations, and IEP development
• Ability to provide direct therapy focusing on communication and academic skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit

Location:

• Homestead, FL (Pediatric outpatient clinic within a K-12 school setting)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs
• Develop and implement therapy plans targeting individual goals
• Provide direct therapy services in one-on-one sessions
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals during IEP meetings
• Focus on areas such as pragmatics, receptive and expressive language skills, and writing
• Monitor progress and adjust therapy plans as required
