An opportunity is available for a qualified Orientation and Mobility Specialist to support students in a K-12 educational setting in Miami, FL. This role involves providing essential services that promote independence and safety for students with visual impairments through tailored orientation and mobility training.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) required.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Orientation and Mobility, Rehabilitation Therapy, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with visual impairments.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop individualized mobility plans and assess student needs effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant mobility devices and technologies.
