In a supportive educational environment, an opportunity exists for an experienced LPN/LVN to collaborate closely with students in a middle school setting. This role focuses on providing essential care to a specific student requiring unique support due to cognitive challenges and medical needs.

Location: Vancouver, WA

Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care as delegated by the district nurse, ensuring that medical services align with student needs.
• Assist the assigned student with G-tube feeding and develop an understanding of their feeding plan.
• Support toileting assistance, fostering independence and comfort for the student.
• Collaborate with the Special Education Teacher to enhance the overall learning experience in the classroom.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student care and progress as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid Oregon LVN License.
• Experience working in school settings, particularly with special education students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and assist students as needed.
• Knowledge of medical care plans and implementation.
