An opportunity is available for a skilled professional to assume a vital role within a school health setting in Tampa, FL. This position is designed for an LPN looking to make a significant impact on student wellness and safety through comprehensive nursing care.

Job Duration: Full School Year, Contract

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor students for any adverse reactions.
  • Perform triage assessments and respond to emergencies with appropriate care.
  • Maintain accurate records of student immunizations and health histories.
  • Collaborate effectively with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to support student needs.
  • Provide first aid and develop care plans for students with chronic health issues, such as diabetes.
  • Operate independently while managing the school health clinic.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Florida LPN License.
  • Experience in pediatric nursing is preferred, although not mandatory.
  • Availability for full-time hours during the school year.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
