Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to students, administering medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and other school staff to ensure the health and well-being of students with medical needs.
  • Monitor and assess student health conditions, reporting any changes to the appropriate parties.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) for students.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for students, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or CPR as necessary.
  • Promote health education within the school community, advising on healthy habits and wellness.
