Job Description

A dedicated and compassionate 1:1 LPN is sought to provide essential support to a high school-aged female student in New York, NY. This full-time position focuses on meeting the unique medical and emotional needs of a student with special health considerations, including refractory Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome and cognitive impairments.

Qualifications:

Valid LPN/LVN license
Bilingual in Spanish
Experience working in school settings, particularly with special education students
Knowledge of medical conditions such as epilepsy and cognitive disorders
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Location:
New York, NY

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one nursing care to the assigned student throughout the school day
Assist with medical transportation and ensure safety during transit
Collaborate with educational staff to support the student’s overall well-being
Monitor and document the student’s health needs, including managing headaches and excessive sleepiness
Communicate effectively with the student, parents, and school officials regarding health concerns
Implement care plans tailored to the student’s specific medical requirements
