Position Overview:
VocoVision is seeking a dedicated and passionate Virtual High School AP Math Teacher to join our team. This position is a 1099 contract role, allowing you to teach students remotely in a flexible, online environment. As a virtual AP Math teacher, you will provide high school students with advanced coursework in mathematics, preparing them for the AP exams and fostering a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. The ideal candidate must be licensed in North Carolina as a general education teacher with an endorsement in mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective virtual instruction for high school AP Math courses.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with North Carolina State Standards and AP curriculum guidelines.
  • Provide individualized support to students to help them understand complex mathematical concepts.
  • Monitor and assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and regular feedback.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and interactive learning environment.
  • Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and school administrators.
  • Participate in virtual staff meetings and collaborate with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Qualifications:

  • Valid North Carolina Teaching License with an endorsement in Mathematics (Secondary Education).
  • Experience teaching AP Math courses or high school mathematics.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable with technology and virtual teaching platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a remote classroom environment.
  • Strong passion for teaching and helping students succeed.

Compensation:

  • This is a 1099 contract position, with competitive pay based on experience.
