Job Description

An opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to provide essential support in a dynamic K-12 educational environment. This role is focused on addressing the mental health needs of students through counseling and social work services, creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students facing mild to moderate mental health challenges.
  • Administer behavioral health screening tools and assessments to determine the urgency of required responses.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies and provide brief emotional support interventions.
  • Gather and integrate information on student behaviors to identify necessary supports for their success.
  • Offer short-term individual and small-group counseling services, facilitating students' emotional development.
  • Make appropriate referrals for students requiring more intensive services.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support building-wide mental health initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Counseling; candidates working towards a master’s degree are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral health assessments and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
