A school-based counseling position is available in the North Charleston, SC area to provide critical support to students and staff. This contract role requires a licensed professional counselor and offers an opportunity to work 35 hours per week in a dynamic educational environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Counseling or Social Work required
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential preferred through the SC LLR
- Previous counseling experience in a school setting is beneficial
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and school personnel
Location: North Charleston, South Carolina (with consideration for candidates in the Moncks Corner area)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling sessions to support student mental health and social-emotional development
- Collaborate with school staff and families to develop interventions and support plans
- Conduct assessments and provide crisis intervention as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation complying with school and regulatory requirements
