Location:
Flint, MI

Responsibilities:

  • Support students experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges, offering guidance and interventions.
  • Administer behavioral health screening tools and assessments to evaluate student needs and determine appropriate responses.
  • Conduct crisis interventions and provide brief counseling for emotional support and regulation.
  • Gather and integrate information regarding student behaviors, developing strategies for success in school and life.
  • Offer short-term individual and small-group counseling services, ensuring students receive the support they require.
  • Facilitate consent for treatment, create treatment plans, and maintain thorough documentation of services provided.
  • Collaborate with school staff to implement Universal Screening initiatives and other mental health programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Counseling; actively pursuing a master’s degree is required.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral health assessments and interventions in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and providing counseling services to adolescents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
