Job Description

An opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant to support students in an educational setting through a contract position. This role is focused on delivering quality therapeutic services to K-12th grade students across two school sites in Boston, MA, for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services as directed by a licensed occupational therapist.
  • Assess student needs and develop appropriate therapeutic activities to enhance daily living skills.
  • Collaborate with educators and other specialists to integrate therapy goals into the classroom.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty regarding therapy services and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
  • Experience working with children in a school setting, particularly with K-12 students.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of educational policies and procedures related to occupational therapy is preferred.
