Job Description

Seeking a dedicated professional with expertise in providing therapy services within an educational setting. This role is focused on supporting K-12 students and requires a proactive approach to address diverse student needs through collaboration and direct service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Proven experience in a school environment
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and practices

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to manage a heavy caseload with consults and direct services

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to K-12 students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to create and adapt therapy plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings and advocate for student needs
  • Deliver both direct services and consultative support to enhance student development
  • Manage time effectively to ensure all students receive the necessary services
