Job Description

An opportunity is available for dedicated professionals specializing in behavior therapy within educational settings. This role focuses on providing essential support and intervention for students exhibiting challenging behaviors, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
  • Experience as a Special Education Teacher or Behavior Specialist
  • Relevant teaching degree with ESE certification (or in progress)
  • Strong understanding of ABA principles and research-based classroom management techniques
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills

Location:

  • Port Charlotte, FL

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with individual students or small groups to address and manage problem behaviors
  • Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to promote effective behavioral strategies
  • Provide coaching and professional development to faculty on ABA principles and classroom management
  • Conduct assessments and data analysis to inform and adjust interventions as needed
