Job Title Registered Behavior Technician

Location: Barberton, WA

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician to join our team in Barberton, WA. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with behavioral and developmental needs. You will work closely with a team of educators and specialists to implement behavior intervention plans and provide individualized support to help students succeed both academically and socially.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with autism, ADHD, and other behavioral challenges.
  • Conduct one-on-one and small group sessions with students to address target behaviors.
  • Collect and analyze data on student progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and other professionals to support the development of students' social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Provide positive reinforcement to encourage desirable behaviors and assist in reducing challenging behaviors.
  • Support students in achieving their academic and social-emotional goals.
  • Participate in team meetings to review progress and modify strategies as necessary.
  • Maintain professional and confidential records in accordance with school and legal standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher in a related field preferred.
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or the ability to obtain certification is required.
  • Experience working with students with behavioral and developmental challenges is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students' growth and success.
  • Ability to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors in a constructive and supportive manner.
