Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join ourPediatric Critical Care team in Chicago, Illinois.

As an RRT specializing in pediatric critical care, you will play a vital role in supporting patients in high-acuity settings such as the PICU, NICU, and CCU.

Job Details:

  • 36 hours per week
  • 13 weeks
  • Nights; 3x12 hour shifts

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of recent RRT experience in a pediatric critical care setting (PICU, NICU, or CCU)

  • Recent acute care pediatric RRT experience within the current year

  • Active Illinois RRT License

  • Current certifications in BLS, PALS, and NRP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver advanced respiratory care in PICU/NICU environments

  • Administer and manage mechanical ventilation and high-flow oxygen therapies

  • Assist with intubation, extubation, and emergency resuscitation efforts

  • Monitor patient status and collaborate with the care team to adjust treatment plans

  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function tests
