This is a remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within Illinois while providing crucial speech therapy services to K-12 students through teletherapy.
As a Virtual SLP with VocoVision, you will be responsible for assessing and treating speech and language disorders, developing individualized therapy plans, and collaborating with educational teams—all from the comfort of your home. You’ll also have access to a comprehensive toolkit filled with resources to enhance your sessions, as well as a clinical and technical support team to assist you with everything from therapy strategies to platform support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide virtual speech therapy to K-12 students in an Illinois school district using a secure online platform.
  • Conduct speech assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions to address speech and language disorders.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, student progress, and any changes to treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and parents to track student progress and adjust therapy as needed.
  • Utilize digital tools and resources to deliver engaging virtual lessons and exercises.
  • Stay current on best practices in teletherapy and speech-language pathology, and adapt them for a virtual setting.

Why VocoVision?

  • Clinical and Technical Support: You won’t be alone! Our clinical team provides guidance on therapy strategies, while our technical team ensures you have the tools and support needed to navigate telehealth platforms seamlessly.
  • Comprehensive Therapy Toolkit: You’ll have access to a vast array of resources and materials to support your virtual therapy sessions, making lesson planning easy and effective.
  • Work from Home Flexibility: Enjoy the benefits of a remote position, offering a flexible schedule that fits your life, while still making a direct impact on your students’ communication progress.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Active Illinois state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting is preferred.
  • Teletherapy experience or comfort with using online platforms for therapy is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to engage students effectively using virtual tools and resources.
