PCU Registered Nurse – Travel Opportunity
Location: Watertown, NY
Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Requirements: Candidates’ permanent address must be 60+ miles from Watertown, NY.

Job Overview:
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract in Watertown, NY. This role requires strong critical thinking, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

Provide care for patients requiring intermediate levels of monitoring and care.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individualized needs.
Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient progress, and respond to emergent situations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with safety standards and policies.

Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Current NYS RN license.
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
PALS certification preferred.
Minimum of one completed travel assignment; new travelers are not eligible.
Current critical care experience preferred.
Knowledge of coronary care and basic dysrhythmia management (or completion of related courses/exams within orientation).
Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to function in high-stress environments and provide safe patient handling.
